Description

ICL Civil Data Collection app is a crowd-sourcing mobile phone application to conduct historical research on violence during the U.S. Civil War. Work with the Identity and Conflict Lab to research in local, state, and national archives to create the first comprehensive database of violent events during the U.S. Civil War. This simple mobile phone application allows users to interface with researchers at the Identity and Conflict Lab, identify relevant archives and collections, and upload photos of historical documents describing violent events. Join in the production of public science in better understanding patterns of conflict and violence during the U.S. Civil War.
