Plenty of novice & experienced cooks alike use the internet as their cookbook. That's fine, but the fun is often in creating the recipe too. UmeUme is A FOOD APP FOR PEOPLE WHO AREN'T AFRAID OF COOKING! We aren't looking to count calories or take the inconvenience out of dinner time. We're folks who enjoy the creative improvisation of seeing what's in the fridge, and who look forward to sharing an open-ended meal with friends. We're people who already know how to feed ourselves and want to keep it fresh and exciting.

UmeUme is a creative game about cooking. 4 times a day we give you a 3-ingredient prompt. You respond by proposing a recipe -- there's no rules and you can write it in any format. Participate in real time with a community of other cooks.

-> No edits or drafts, just post your idea and move on. The conversation continues in the comments. If you cook it, post a pic.

-> There's no rules. Write in any format, use measurements or don't, bring other ingredients or use only the ones we give you. The results can range from practical to exploratory to absurd -- it all works with UmeUme.

-> Members can follow other cooks, commenting on their ideas. The end result is both a game and a trove of ideas to bring to the kitchen.
