About Rio Secco Golf Course

Open for public play since 1997, the Rees Jones-designed layout at Rio Secco Golf Club quickly earned acclaim as a player’s course routed through steep canyons, desert washes and high plateaus overlooking Las Vegas. In 2017, the “U.S. Open Doctor” returned to refine his original creation to enhance playability and the overall Rio Secco experience.

Through the creativity and vision of Rees Jones, Rio Secco perfectly embodies the modern spirit of the game. Marked by impeccable conditions, stunning scenery and awe inspiring elevation changes, Rio Secco sets the stage for a dream round! The front nine is highlighted by several holes routed through the club’s namesake, which means “Dry River” in Portuguese, flanked by steep canyon walls. The back nine begins with a climb to a plateau featuring commanding views of The Strip and the entire Las Vegas valley below. Several holes require carries over dramatic native desert canyons, though thoughtfully placed forward tee boxes soften the carries for playability and fun for every level of golfer.
