BrainBaseline Watch ALS

The application used in this study is the ALS Mobile Assessments Smartphone Application, created by Digital Artefacts. The app will present tasks to be completed approximately every other day and will ask questions related to mood, falls, and fatigue. The app will record data from brief walking tasks. The app also includes a number of cognitive and psychomotor tasks and you will be prompted to create audio recordings during various tasks. The data collected on the app will be accumulated on secure servers monitored by study team.

This application uses the iPhone and AppleWatch sensor recorder to collect accelerometer, gyroscope, and magnetometer data, which is a part of Apple's CareKit and HealthKit framework. Motor activities will ask you to sync the activity between iPhone and Apple Watch. We appreciate your participation as we gather these important data on symptoms related to ALS.
