The application allows you to discover the collection of the Mercati di Traiano-Museo dei Fori Imperiali in a simple and exhaustive way, through the stories of many exceptional and unique works, conveyed through a lively storytelling, entrusted to the voices of Emperor Trajan and his architect , Apollodoro di Damasco, who discuss the great architectural works realized and to be realized.

The application of the Mercati di Traiano presents an innovative way of enjoying a visit to the museum with more levels of detail thanks to the help of BLE beacon technology that allows visitors to easily navigate the halls of the Augmented Reality museum. access exclusive in-depth content on some of the museum's and Panoramas' works, 360 ° shots of unprecedented perspectives and breathtaking views.

The application, available in five languages ​​(Italian, English, français, deutsch, español), presents three macro-sections: Paths in the stories, through which it is possible to access thematic paths with predetermined duration, Time line, with macro-line of the time in which the museum's works are inserted and the main related historical events, and Exhibitions, with a detailed description of the exhibitions present in the circuit of the Museums in the Municipality.

The section Routes in the stories presents three prepared paths that can be chosen by visitors based on their availability of time:

1. Art and power in the imperial age
2. Architectures
3. Real and fantastic characters

After selecting one of the tour routes, users will pass through the rooms of the museum, receiving, for each of them, the suggestion of works in the vicinity affected by the chosen route, thanks to the BLE beacon technology.
Clicking on each work, users will have access to a detailed sheet composed of an explanatory image, a correlated audio, and in some cases, a gallery of images.

The application allows access to some icons of in-depth analysis of each work:
-TEST: to facilitate accessibility by users with hearing impairments, the audio track has a text version adapted and optimized for the deaf;
-MAPPA: for a greater orientation in the spaces it will be possible to recall the map of the museum, in which the room in which the consulted work is located will be highlighted;
-LINEA DEL TEMPO: each work will be placed within a macro-chronology that allows to identify the historical period of construction and related historical events;
-AR (functionality not always active): will indicate the presence of augmented reality content visible framing the work with the camera of the rental device or your smartphone.

The application also presents these features:
-Map MIC: through which visitors can view the location of the other museums of the Museums in the Municipality network;
-Search search: users can have specific information about a single work, by typing the corresponding number on the keypad.
