Lightstone Auto’s mobile app (previously known as LIVE) makes it easier for sales and finance professionals in the South African motor industry to get all the information they need about a vehicle and its driver.

- Get accurate vehicle valuation estimates.
- Validate a vehicle’s VIN, engine number, make, model and type.
- Check police and financial interest information.

Key features:
- Vehicle verification: use your mobile phone’s camera to scan a vehicle’s license disc. The app scans and decrypts the bar code, validating the information on a vehicle and delivering real time accurate verification data for any vehicle. Information provided includes the VIN, make and model, the warranty start date, financing interest, microdot verification and police status.

- Vehicle valuation: Lightstone valuations are estimated and based on more than 2.8 million records of bank finalised vehicle retail transactions financed through the Signio system (and other third parties). The vehicle values are a guide for dealerships to establish a fair price and includes retail, trade, cost and auction values.

- Driver’s licence scan: the app scans and decrypts the 3D barcode of a South African driver’s licence to tell if it’s valid. This reduces the risk of fraud and provides a mechanism to easily and accurately capture driver details.

The new and improved app also conveniently allows you to do a manual VIN search or upload an image of a vehicle or driver’s licence disc.
