Namaz is a Persian word that denotes one of the most important forms of worship of Allah Almighty: certain words and movements that together make up the Islamic prayer ritual.
Every Muslim of age (according to Shariah) and of sound mind is obliged to first learn how to perform namaz, and then perform it daily - at certain intervals.
In Arabic, namaz is denoted by the word “solat”, which originally means “dua” (“supplication” - that is, an appeal to Allah with a request for good for oneself or other people). The whole complex of words and movements began to be designated by this word, since dua is the most important part of our prayer.
Namaz is, first of all, our connection with Allah, as well as an expression of gratitude to Him for all the countless benefits that He has given us.
