Description
Surah Yasin
Yasin (Arabic: يس - Ya Sin) is the thirty-sixth surah of the Quran. It is a Meccan surah and consists of 83 verses.
The surah begins with two Arabic letters, "ya" and "sin."
This surah speaks of those who refused to listen to and understand admonition and disbelieved. Admonition is beneficial only to those who listen, accept the reminder, and fear Allah, the Most Merciful. The surah points out that Allah resurrects the dead and counts the deeds of His slaves. In it, Allah gave the Meccan infidels a parable about the struggle between believers who call to Allah and infidels who reject the call to Islam, and points out the results of the deeds of each of these groups.
It states that Muhammad was sent with Revelation—a clear Quran—based on logic, not imagination. The Prophet Muhammad said: “Everything has a heart, and the heart of the Quran is Surah Ya Sin.”
