Geography:
The Bab al-Hawa crossing is 33 km away from Idlib, and it belongs administratively to the Idlib Governorate in the Syrian north, and it is the largest Syrian gate with Turkey, which is offset by the "Galvagazo" crossing of the Turkish state of Hatay.

Historically:
It is located on the ancient Roman road "Silk Road" between Antioch and Aleppo, and it is considered the main road for Hajj.

Is an independent civil administration, financially and administratively, managing the movement of travelers and relief and commercial transit materials to and from Turkey.
