Description

The Japanese bathtub, known in Japanese as ofuro, plays a role in the rituals that must be performed for the ceremony., Many Japanese consider it a routine to sit in a tub soaked in water for at least a few hours at a time, sometimes for days.

As a result of years of experimentation and research, our development was informed by many satisfied customers who had previously purchased one of our deep bathtubs and asked for their own. We told that we are now selling these bathtubs to customers all over the world, including Japan. Although these deep baths certainly have their imitators, they do not match the quality of the traditional Japanese bath or even the original Ofuro bath. For this and other reasons, they have proved extremely popular with our customers from all over the world, building a success story spanning more than a quarter of a century.

The Japanese are well aware of the waste of water, and use innovative systems to recycle the water they dispose of in their bathtubs. The Japanese tub was often installed in a relatively large room that has a niche or changing area. To most Japanese, it seems crazy, even somewhat embarrassing, when a westerner puts a toilet in the place where you are about to wash.

In the original Japanese ofuro, a seat is also integrated into the deep bathtub to give the bathers a feeling of comfort and relaxation, as it is easier for most of them to sit down than to sit on the edge of the tub or even above it. Sunken, built-in, removable steps are the point at which you need to behave, and what do you (or your bather) need to balance?
