In Bird Calendar, we collect observations of birds in an organized manner with the aim to describe the birds' seasonal variations throughout Sweden. You can help by making such observations in your homeland!

To participate in the Bird Calendar, make your observations using the same method as any other that is fenologiväktare for Bird Calendar. The method description you get when you register your interest in becoming fågelfenologiväktare on Nature's Calendar. In short, it is about you
• choose a place where you should make periodic observations,
• choose your own species list of the birds you can identify and want to focus on and that is relevant to your observation location,
• make your observations for 5 minutes, 2 times per week,
• observe the number seen or heard of individuals of all species on your species list,
• also makes so-called zero-observation - that is, species on your list of species you have not seen / heard recorded as "Not found" in the Species Gateway, which is just as important to report as you seen / heard.
