Description

Cabbage is a moisture-loving plant, mainly a biennial or annual of the Cruciferous family. More than 50 species of this plant are isolated. For a long time cabbage has been grown in open ground in large areas, since it is problematic and costly to occupy greenhouse premises with it. Agricultural technology of culture is rather laborious, but without performing all its stages it is impossible to get a decent harvest. Cabbage is one of the most cold-resistant vegetable crops. Thanks to frost resistance and unpretentiousness, it is successfully grown even in regions with short and cool summers.
