Squirrel News is a free constructive news app. Our team of independent journalists collect the most important solutions-based stories from across the international media landscape, and curate them into compact, digestible issues.
PUSH NOTIFICATIONS
We currently publish our issues three times per week: on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. As soon as an issue is ready, we’ll inform you about it via push notification.
BACKGROUND
Are you irked by the fact that most mainstream news consists of conflicts, scandals, wars and disasters? Then you've come to the right place. We collect solution-oriented news stories for you, which otherwise might be tricky to find: for example, reports on innovative ideas and solutions to social challenges, examples of best practice, and stories of success, to name but a few.
A NON-PROFIT PROJECT
Our app is 100% free of charge, and we’d like to avoid advertising as much as possible. To cover our costs, we rely on regular voluntary donations. Squirrel News is a project of the newly founded non-profit Constructive News e.V. – meaning that all revenues are reinvested into the project – and we won’t keep any profits for ourselves.
