Description

SmartBirds Pro is an electronic field diary for quick and easy recording of observations of species of the wild flora and fauna (protected plants, invertebrates, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals). It is convenient to use both for information on single observations and for conducting long-term monitoring. It facilitates biologists and nature lovers in their encounters with wildlife by providing the most necessary tools for collecting field data.

Functionalities include:
– Quick recording of information on the observed species in standardized fields, including through ready-made lists, filtering of possible choices through partial input of information
– Automatic recording of geographical coordinates using the built-in GPS of the mobile device
– Photographing and automatic integration of the photographs to the observation
– Viewing and saving your position (track) and observations via maps from Google Maps (normal, satellite, hybrid) and OpenStreetMap (OSM), online and offline
– Saving the data in a personal profile on the Information system with biological information of the BSPB (https://smartbirds.org/)
– Easy data sharing via e-mail or https://smartbirds.org/
– It also works offline which allows use in places with limited or no internet
– Translation into English, Bulgarian, Albanian (and the ability to easily add new languages)
