Description

The Netherlands has various credit card-sized driving license models. The first design was issued from October 1, 2006, the second from January 19, 2013 and the third from November 14, 2014. Each design has several security features. You can check some of them with the naked eye or with simple tools.

In this app you will receive an explanation about the security features on the driving license. By moving (tilting) your device, holding it up to the light (looking) or touching (feeling) you will discover where the security features are. In addition, you can read what to do if you come across a false driver's license. Since November 15, 2014, driving licenses contain a chip containing a copy of your data. You can use this app to read the chip of your driver's license and have your driver's license checked digitally.
