Description

Matra is an innovative software available in English, Italian, French, and German.

The program calculates the wire drawing diagram for Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Bronze, Aluminum (series 4000 and 5000), Zinc, and Copper wires.

For Bronze, the analysis considers the most common alloys with the highest tensile strength.
For Zinc, the material is analyzed with 99% purity.
The tensile strength of Carbon Steel is determined by the carbon content in the alloy, which ranges between 0.1% and 1%.
All tensile strengths are accurately calculated based on experimental data, including for stainless steels.

Optimized for Wire Drawing Managers:
Matra is designed for wire drawing managers looking to optimize the drawing diagram and improve die scheduling. It uses Siebel's Homogeneous Work formulas to calculate the drawing force per pass.

Wet Wire Drawing Machines:
Matra also calculates diagrams for wet wire drawing machines, managing the slip for each capstan and controlling the total slip percentage across all drawing blocks. Users can:

Input machine data, such as the number of capstans and elongations per pass.
Load data from existing machines on the market.
Configure inlet diameter, outlet diameter, and requested slip for each capstan.
The program proposes the required number of dies to achieve the final diameter and generates a detailed report including:

Machine elongations per pass.
Wire elongations, reductions, and total slip per pass.
It is also possible to input a custom wire drawing diagram into the wet drawing section and verify elongations, reductions, and slip per pass according to the chosen machine's characteristics.
