Mobile resident registration cards and driver's licenses are legal identification cards that are encrypted and safely stored on an individual's smartphone and are issued by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Police Agency.

You can quickly obtain a driver's license by visiting the driver's license test center with your actual driver's license and a smartphone in your name with the mobile ID app installed. You can also apply for an IC driver's license online at the police station's civil service office or at the Road Traffic Authority's Safe Driving Integrated Civil Service website.

- Method 2. Issuing mobile ID cards without replacing physical ID cards through on-site QR issuance at community centers (resident registration cards) and driver's license test centers (driver's licenses)



※ Mobile IDs (resident registration cards, driver's licenses) are legally valid IDs and require at least one face-to-face identity verification process at the issuing agency.

※ If you exchange your physical ID for an IC ID, you do not need to revisit the institution to reissue your mobile ID even when you replace your mobile phone in the future.

※ IC resident registration cards can only be applied for by visiting a community center, and it takes about 15 days to receive them.

※ IC driver's license can be received on the same day when applying for it by visiting a license examination center, and it takes about 15 days when applying by visiting a police station.

※ When applying for issuance of an IC driver's license online, you must specify a date 15 days after the application date (excluding public holidays) as the date of receipt.

- How to tag IC ID (resident registration card, driver's license): Remove the smartphone case, place the IC ID on the floor, and touch it for at least 3 to 4 seconds. The NFC setting “normal mode” status and contact location differ depending on the smartphone model, so confirmation is required.

※ Check contact location: Settings > Connection > NFC

※ IC ID cards (resident registration card, driver's license) may be recognized repeatedly if used overlapping with a transportation card, so please do not use them.



- Face authentication method: Clean the front camera of your smartphone, place your arms about 40 to 50 cm apart so that your entire face is illuminated in as bright a place as possible, and look straight ahead at an angle, then blink or follow the guidance message. , Please turn your head to the right or left.
