 무조건 열심히 걷기만 하면 건강해지는 것일까?
 6년간 일본 아이치현 주민들을 대상으로 한 걷기와 노화 연구에 따르면, 그냥 걷기만 열심히 한 이들의 경우, 근력이 25%나 감소한 결과가 나타났다. 즉, 무작정 걷는 운동만으로는 노화로 인한 근력 약화를 막을 수 없음을 보여준다.
