Description

V-Guard for Web is a security program that runs and terminates when requested to run while accessing a web page.

V-Guard for Web is an anti-virus app that is linked and runs when accessed from mobile web pages such as banking, securities, and shopping.
V-Guard for Web is an app that does not run independently, but operates only when an operation request is received.
(* When running alone, only a simple screen containing the app version and related information is displayed and no additional functions are performed.)

[App access permission information]
Based on the Information and Communications Network Act for the protection of users related to smartphone app access rights, which came into effect on March 23, 2017, V-Guard accesses only the items absolutely necessary for the service, and the details are as follows.

[Required access rights]
• App deletion request permission (REQUEST_DELETE_PACKAGES): Used to delete diagnosed malicious apps.
• Internet, Wi-Fi connection information: Used for network connection when updating the engine.
• System warning and drawing over other apps (SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW): When a malicious app is detected while running a real-time inspection service, it is used to inform the user of the risk by switching to the detection screen.
• App notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to notify the user whether the real-time inspection service is running.

※ Change access rights
• Android 6.0 or higher: Select consent or withdrawal in Settings > App or application > V-Guard for Web > Select permissions.
• Android 6.0 and below: Since individual consent to each item is not possible, mandatory access consent is required for all items. Therefore, we recommend checking whether the operating system of the terminal you are using can be upgraded to Android 6.0 or higher and upgrading. However, even if the operating system is upgraded, the access permissions agreed to in the existing app do not change, so to reset the access permissions, you must delete the already installed app and reinstall it.
