Swatantra Siddhalinga was another vacankara who belonged to the discipleship tradition of Siddhalinga of Tonta. Period Late 16th century. Place: Kapanahalli, Krishnarajpet Taluk, Mandya District. 'Gajarajgiri' near Achara is the place of his Shiva Yoga achievement. Unity there. At present, 430 verses of his have been found. Ankita is 'Nijaguru Swatantrasiddhalingeshwar'. He composed works called Jangamaragale, Muktyangana Kanthamaale. Shat-Sthala Tattva exposition is the main material in his vachanas which are divided into six Sthalas. He has properly proposed the principle in the traditional way. He was influenced by poets like Mahadeviakka Basavanna. Basavanna, Madiwala Machideva, Channa Basavanna, Prabhudeva, Ajaganna all these have said that they are Shadusthala for him. Verses are embellished with poetry due to the use of good illustrations for narration.
