As the chief building engineer, players must make tough decisions and utilize physical principles to rescue passengers.

The core element of the game revolves around gravity. Passengers inside the elevators contribute to their total mass, which the player must consider when planning the elevators' movements. To lift an elevator, players need to gather passengers in other elevators to create the required mass and counterbalance.
