Originally conceived to help students of Irish law and other professionals understand how particular words and phrases are defined through time in Irish laws, it has turned out that many people have found it both useful and interesting.

While any law may be referenced, the search tool seeks out out particular definitions. If you wish to locate a particular law, one or two judicious searches should suffice.

So far, individual users have found it helpful for:
* looking up a particular law
* understanding company law
* finding out about the historic treatment of their profession in Irish law over the last century
* exploring legal terms, finding surprising treatments in particular laws
* random browsing

While useful, this app is in no way intended to be a substitute for seeking legal advice from a suitable professional. Laws change over time, and whereas it is intended that a future release will show where elements have been repealed, removed, qualified, added to, or otherwise updated, there is no guarantee any particular section is currently in force, especially in the most recent laws which may be phased in over time.

While every care has been taken in the preparation of the material, the app maker can assume no responsibility for and give no guarantee, undertakings or warranties concerning the accuracy, completeness or up-to-date nature of the information provided and they do not accept any liability whatsoever arising from any errors or omissions.
