Description

This application is not for joining a line but for staff members only.

Linistry is a digital queue management service. People register to a line digitally (virtual queuing) to avoid physical queuing.
One use case is events queue management, where digital ticket holders queue for a program within an event and join a fastlane once their timeslot has come. This application runs on the mobile devices of the event’s staff (responsible for visitor admittance and queue management) and is used to validate digital tickets by reading the QR code located on them. Valid ticket holders are allowed to enter the fastlane and enjoy the program without waiting on the spot.
Another use case built in the app is “calling functionality”, i.e. notifying ticketholders next in the line of their imminent turn by clicking the “Call next” button.

Background information
People join queues via a web app, in their phone’ browser. They receive notification of their turn in text (SMS) and also on their web-based digital ticket.
Once they get notification of their turn, their web-based digital ticket will display a QR code to be read by “The Linistry QR code reader app”.

The reader app works as follows
Usecase 1. QR code validation
Entering credentials (registration happens via Linistry backend administration portal)
As a first step the relevant lines/programs need to be selected by the event staff that will be managed via the app.
After activating camera screen, the QR code will be read and validated against the database of valid tickets.
If the code cannot be scanned for whatever reason, the digital ticket can be validated by entering a validation code manually.
