Description
· Our “CityU Walk” mobile application is a pedometer that counts your walking steps, and records your daily total step counts, distance walked and calories burned.
· It illustrates the frequency distribution of your step counts in a daily basis.
· “CityU Walk” emphasizes the spirit of “Walk for a Reason”.
· In addition to walk for your health, you can simply select to walk for a particular CityU unit, i.e. department/office and/or student residential hall. This can reinforce your commitment to walk, and enhance your sense of belonging to the selected unit.
· Your walking step counts will be uploaded to our CityU server for record and analysis.
· “CityU Walk” as well as the website of CityU Walk Statistics (http://appslab.ee.cityu.edu.hk/walk/) will then show the analyzed data, e.g. the total steps taken by all CityU Walk users & selected units, and the user & unit ranking etc.
