Carte Vitale

Description

The Carte Vitale app is your Carte Vitale on your smartphone: a digital health insurance service that can be downloaded free of charge.

It does not replace your Carte Vitale, but is an alternative.

> Regardless of your department of affiliation, you can activate your Carte Vitale app if you have a new-format ID card and have created your digital identity on the France Identité app. Visit: www.france-identite.gouv.fr

> Without using the France Identité app, the Carte Vitale app is being gradually rolled out and will be available in all departments by the end of 2025. You can currently activate your Carte Vitale app if you are insured in one of the following regions:
- Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (01, 03, 07, 15, 26, 38, 42, 43, 63, 69, 73, 74)
- Bourgogne-Franche-Comté (21, 25, 39, 58, 70, 71, 89, 90)
- Brittany (22, 29, 35, 56)
- Centre-Val de Loire (18, 28, 36, 37, 41, 45)
- Grand-Est (08, 10, 51, 52, 54, 55, 57, 67, 68, 88)
- Normandy (14, 27, 50, 61, 76)
- Pays de la Loire (44, 49, 53, 72, 85)
- Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (04, 05, 06, 13, 83, 84)

TO ACTIVATE YOUR CARTE VITALE APP, YOU MUST VERIFY THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
- Be affiliated with a health insurance organization that supports the Carte Vitale app. By the end of 2025, the Carte Vitale app will be available for all health insurance plans. - Have a compatible smartphone,
- Have an authorized ID,
- Be 16 or 18 years old depending on your membership plan.

ONCE ACTIVATED, YOUR CARTE VITALE APP ALLOWS YOU TO:
- Identify yourself, just like with your Carte Vitale, at your pharmacist, doctor, dentist, nurse, optician, etc.
- View your healthcare expenses incurred with your Carte Vitale app
- Access your information and that of your beneficiaries: Social Security number, mandatory organization, as well as other information such as the National Health Identity (Identité Nationale de Santé).

Healthcare professionals are gradually being equipped with the app.
It is therefore advisable to always carry your Carte Vitale with you.
A display is available at healthcare professionals equipped to read the Carte Vitale app. Don't hesitate to ask them if they are equipped.
