Le Clos des Citots

Description

The cider Clos des Citôts held by Martine and Gerard LENORMAND was created in 1998. The cider orchards were planted from the winter of 1992 on grasslands. Its area is 13 hectares now conducted in organic farming.
This orchard has fifteen varieties of cider apples:
Sweet apples (rich in sugar): Sweet Coëtligné, Clos Renaux, Soft Veret Carrouges
Bitter sweet apples (sugar and tannins): Bedan, Douce Moen, Dabinett
Bitter potatoes (lots of tannins): Frequin Red Kermerrien, Mettais
Apple tart (freshness): Small Yellow Judeline, Judor
Various varieties allow the balance of flavors based on products developed.

The apple orchard is supplemented by a table pear orchard (Conference and Williams) and pear to Poiré (Plant White, Bell, Champagne).

We also have special varieties with red flesh and juice to make cider and Poiré Rosés.
