The hourly price application allows you to monitor the electricity exchange price. The service shows both quart prices that change every 15 minutes and hourly averages. With the price information, you can reduce your electricity consumption when electricity is expensive and take advantage of the cheapest hours. The application aims to increase information about electricity price fluctuations and the possibility of directing one's own consumption to more affordable hours.
You get the most out of the Hourly Price application if you have an electricity contract tied to the electricity exchange price with your own electricity supplier and electricity consumption is billed by the quarter or hour. In the service, you can set an alarm limit for the hourly price. You will receive a notification when the average hourly price of stock exchange electricity exceeds the alarm limits you have saved in the settings.
The exchange price of electricity is formed in the electricity exchanges according to the demand and supply of electricity. The price of electricity on the Nordic electricity exchange will change every fifteen minutes from 1 October 2025. The prices are always published the previous afternoon for the following day.
In the hourly price application, you cannot monitor the consumption of your own electricity usage location, but you can view it through Fingrid's datahub customer portal. You can familiarize yourself with datahub on our website www.fingrid.fi/datahub
