Description
ORCE georeferenced Tourist Guide and street guide with everything necessary for the visitor: Heritage, Archaeological Sites, Tourism, Hospitality, Shops, Companies, Official Organizations, etc. With this guide you will have in your hand all the necessary information to get around Orce.
The Villa de Orce is located in the northern appendix of the province of Granada, on the border with Almería.
It has a population of 1,475 inhabitants, distributed between the urban area and the districts of Fuentenueva, Venta Micena, and Pozo de la Rueda.
Its traditional economy has been based on agriculture and livestock, highlighting its Segureño Lamb, highly appreciated for its incomparable flavor. In recent years, a new economy has begun to develop around the exploitation of the town's important heritage, scientific and cultural resources.
With this space on the Internet, ORCE welcomes you, and hopes that you have a happy journey through time, a journey that began almost 2 million years ago, when a group of hominids chose this corner of the earth as their home, and where you will find the traces of the different cultures that have populated our territory since then.
