Description

Legend has it that the god Bacchus founded it near the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Chalcolithic remains have been found in its historic center. However, the foundation of the city is attributed to the Phoenicians (Lepriptza) and the Tartessos (Nebrissa). You will enjoy the visit to Lebrija for its traditions, its gastronomy (with its well-known white wine), its surroundings and its artistic heritage, among which the Chapels of Vera Cruz, Ntra. Sra. de la Aurora and Chapel of Bethlehem, the hermitages of San Benito and Ntra. Sra. del Castillo and the churches of San Francisco, the Convento de las Concepcionistas and Nuestra Señora de La Oliva. Lebrija dresses in luxury during the Cruces de Mayo, also declared of Tourist Interest.
