Description
DTunes is a secure, open sourced decentralized file streaming application. DTunes allows you to set up open sourced code on any Unix based device and allow the user to act as their own server. Not only can you stream from your device but, you can file share from other devices that have the code base installed. To set up the code base, you will need to click the info icon on the network list page and follow the GitHub Instruction page. This guide will show you how to install the server side code on your device and customize it to your best ability. The code is open sourced and this allows the user to customize the experience and their file feeds. Each user is allowed to setup secure accounts on their device to grant access to users that want to access their files. DTunes is our first creation and we hope to create more applications similar to this type of decentralized technology. This application is meant to be a secure way to share audio, video and documents with friends or family on the same WIFI network. This allows families to keep their files stored on their own secure database using a web framework. Users should not share files that pose a security risk to other users. The intention of the app is share filed securely similar to other file sharing apps.
