Description

The application is a communicator for Android Tablets and phones with buttons, gestures and pictograms ARASAAC, (Aragonese Portal of Augmentative and Alternative Communication) facilitates and enhances spontaneous communication through images and sounds, allowing spontaneous intentional develop interactive behaviors.

Recipients: Children or adults with disabilities or language problems, nonverbal children, autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual impairment or other pervasive developmental disorder with a very low cognitive level.

The application consists of a main screen where the different categories and six sub-screens where the specific glyphs for each category useful for communication; pressing the pictograms are selected and passed voice.

Navigation between screens is done by buttons and gestures, actions and keeping buttons pressed between screens. It has easy access even with the tablet or phone locked or off by a gesture. It consists of a screen settings to configure two-time application usage in seconds, which is accessed by entering the password "140318" the first fixed time which while the user is not interacting with the application on a secondary display returns to the main screen, and the second fixed time which while the user does not change the time frame, its content is passed voice and then cleaned.

This is an intuitive, easy application, easy access and few elements, for users with a very low cognitive level.

The application has been made in collaboration between specialists Team Guidance and Support CEIP DSLab Romero Peña and the Polytechnic School of the Autonomous University of Madrid.
