Description

In standard Sudoku the objective is to fill a grid with numbers ensuring that each number appears only once in each row and column. In addition the cells of the grid are grouped into squares and each number must appear only once in each of these squares.

In Neighbours Sudoku the second of these conditions is dispensed with. Instead, green rectangles are added to the board to mark pairs of cells whose contents are "arithmetic neighbours" differing by exactly one. This transforms the game introducing a variety of new tactics.

Nothing will ever replace standard Sudoku in the hearts of Sudoku lovers, but we think that many keen players of the traditional game will be fascinated by the new game play features that those little green rectangles open up.

The app has been designed to provide both quick and simple games for the casual user in addition to complex, lengthy puzzles which will suit serious players. In both cases the app is a mind game promoting mental agility, a cheaper and less painful alternative to a complete brain transplant!
