Description

As part of a cooperation agreement with KCD, IVU Traffic Technologies AG is developing the eTicket analysis app eTicketinfo2.0.
The smartphone app enables transport companies and associations to analyze electronic tickets according to the VDV core application. It supports the reading of tickets both as a barcode via a corresponding scanner and on a chip card via the NFC interface. The ticket data are analyzed based on the VDV-KA standard and EFM data and displayed in a clear format.
To analyze erroneous eTickets, the expert view also shows the raw ticket data. With this feature, the app can be used in the context of quality assurance in the introduction of new tariff products, sales systems or smart cards. The analysis is facilitated by a search function.
However, the eTicket Analytics app can not replace controls. The spatial examination of eTickets is not possible with the app.
For experts, various export and import functions are available. All ticket data can be shared as a JSON structure and then processed or shared with other users. The driving permissions can also be exported as E8 hex data - a format that also uses the (((eTicket test suite of the VDV (((eTicket service.
With a simplified passenger view, the app also offers public transport users the opportunity to view the data content of their eTicket. Users can see at a glance how long, for example, a ticket is valid and what data is stored. This function fulfills the requirement of data protection for data transparency.
