This app supports the FernUni certificate course. The first chapter is freely available for previewing. A booking through the CeW (CeW) of the FernUniversität in Hagen is required for the complete content.
The Python scripting language is one of the most popular and well-loved programming languages of our time. It is by no means new; it has been available for 30 years. The high demand is due to the emergence of new application areas such as data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. While these fields are not entirely new, new approaches and frameworks are opening them up to a much broader range of users.
This course is aimed at ambitious beginners in programming.
The course teaches the fundamentals and elements of Python as well as solutions for typical practical tasks. After a detailed presentation of the Python language elements and their application, the course focuses on the creation of functions and modules. Object-oriented programming (OOP) also provides an insight into advanced programming concepts and teaches you how to handle errors and exceptions. Throughout the course, you will apply what you have learned in a practical course project.
The written exam can be taken online or at a FernUniversität Hagen campus location of your choice. Upon passing the exam, you will receive a university certificate. Students can also have earned ECTS credits certified for a Certificate of Basic Studies.
