Description

New ways of learning e. V. supports schools in the use of digital media in the classroom. This includes the creation of digital learning content and scenarios for integration into subject-specific education (especially non-MINT subjects).

A special concern of the association is the promotion of school film culture and film education with digital tools. In this sense, the free app "film language" should make a contribution to the qualitative improvement of dealing with films in the classroom.

The Dictionary of Film Language provides understandable definitions of important terms in film language, film analysis and cinematic narrative for school and university use. The compilation of the articles is also suitable for cinematic practice on set and for use in media education projects. Last but not least, all film fans who want to take a look behind the scenes of filmmaking should also be addressed.

The lexicon contains a unique collection of visual markers that visually visualize cinematographic means and techniques in the categories of cinematography, editing / postproduction and sound (sounds and music).

The lexicon on film language attaches particular importance to the subject areas of visual composition and color design in feature films, which are often neglected in German lessons.
