Swami vivekananda was an Indian Hindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.
In India, Vivekananda is regarded as a patriotic saint and his birthday is celebrated there as National Youth Day.
I was always wondered what would Vivekanandar had delivered in Chicago, 1893 when he was so young. We read this during our school days, but we never had a chance to read/listen his speech, at least me.
On the other day, I was searching this internet, it was hard for me to find the tamil script of what he delivered. So, thought of providing the script in an android app.
His speech is amazingly true even now a days, I was amazed with his view about the religion. I hope you all will realize the same.
