Description

For SmartKook it is a need to eat consciously!
Here there are no doctors or dieticians, but we know that a varied diet is good for health: at SmartKook you can choose from numerous smart ingredients.
We select high quality products and we rely on scientific studies and research that teach us how food interacts with our body (Nutrigenomics).
We are what we eat (Ludwig Feuerbach-1804) and this is especially true in the medium-long term.
So we started a process of discovery (and rediscovery) of ingredients and foods that some Italian researchers have called "smart food". We use a good number of them to allow our increasingly demanding and aware customers to build a different, personalized and therefore SMART menu every time!
SmartKook is Longevity Food (LF) - Protective Food (PF) - Anticancer Food (AC):
- Longevity Food
Recent research has shown that the molecules contained in some foods can creep into the epigenome, or DNA, and modify those traits that affect our lifespan, because they manage to activate the genes of longevity. In this category we find:
the Anthocyanins: purple cabbage, cherries, blood oranges, blueberries, aubergines, purple / sweet potatoes, black plums, radicchio, black grapes, berries
Capsaicina: hot pepper and spicy paprika
Curcumin: turmeric
Epigallocatechingallato: green tea and black tea
Fisetina: persimmons, strawberries, some types of apples
Quercetin: asparagus, capers, onions, lettuce, dark chocolate
Resveratrol: grapes
- Protective Food
This category includes the foods that help protect our body from hypertension, diabetes and obesity: garlic, cereals, aromatic herbs (basil, oregano, sage, rosemary, mint, thyme ...), legumes, olive oil, oil of seeds, oilseeds (sunflower, pumpkin ...), fresh fruit and vegetables in general.
- AntiCancer Food
A set of foods that, in addition to being "protective" for the body, slow down the proliferation of cancer cells (some reduce inflammatory states where cancer finds fertile ground, others prevent or slow down its development ...). Among these: turmeric (curcumin), ginger (gingerol), carrot (betacarotene), blueberry and raspberries (delphinidin), soybeans, red clover, coffee (flavonoids, genistein), cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, cauliflower, arugula, turnip greens, sprouts Brussels sprouts (isothiocyanates), grapefruit and tomato (lycopene), mint, cherries and lavender (perylill alcohol), black pepper (piperine), lemon (hesperidin).
