Description
The BH MEDS-R3 App was developed by the Mid-America Addiction Technology Transfer Center (Mid-America ATTC) under a cooperative agreement from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) for use by behavioral health or allied health professionals. The App is designed as a quick reference of medications commonly prescribed in the treatment of persons with substance use disorders and/or mental health conditions. The use of this App is not intended to replace clinical consultation with a physician or other healthcare professional.
All material appearing in this App, except that taken directly from copyrighted sources, is in the public domain and may be reproduced or copied without permission from SAMHSA or the authors. Citation of the source is appreciated.
In addition the the BH MEDS R-3 App, another useful resource is SAMHSA's Treatment Improvement Protocol (TIP) 63, which reviews medications used to treat opioid use disorder (OUD). TIP 63 provides information on methadone, naltrexone, and buprenorphine, along with other strategies and services needed to support people with OUD. Click the button below to access the publication.
