Description

The application performs an estimation of glomerular filtration according CDK-EPI and MDRD4-IDMS equation, from the patient data: age, creatinine, gender and ethnicity.

limitations:
- Remember that it is an estimate and therefore always be less accurate in the calculation of glomerular filtration rate to determine creatinine clearance.
- Muscle mass and diet of the patient may alter the results of these estimates: a person with little muscle mass and / or a low protein diet the real value of glomerular filtration rate will be lower.
- Equations can only be applied to people with older age to 18 years.
- It has been shown that MDRD4-IDMS equation is less accurate than CDK-EPI in patients over 70 years or good renal function (serum creatinine low).
