Text-Neck Posture Correction - This feature dims and blocks the screen when the device is used at an unhealthy angle for the child spine.

PG13 Content Prevention & App Blocking - This feature reduces exposure to inappropriate content while browsing. Parents can also block any apps on the phone.

Where's My Kid GPS Location - This feature shows parents their child’s GPS location with Google Maps.

Texting & Driving Prevention - This feature blocks the child/teen’s phone screen when inside a vehicle in motion. Teens can still make emergency phone calls and use Apps like Maps or Waze while driving.

Instant Screen Time-out: This feature can block the screen on the child’s phone, allowing parents to turn off their child's phone screen with the touch-of-a-button (like a remote-control for your TV)

Screen Time-out Scheduler: This feature allows the parent to set appropriate days and times for the child to use its phone.

Privacy & Data Sharing

As a parental app, this app allows the parents to change the user settings on the child’s phone, and disable any apps

This app uses Device Administrator Permissions and Accessibility API which allows parents to manage and control their children’s phones (requires parent’s approval)

This app requires Access to Location in the Background for use in features such as "Where is My Kid? GPS Locator" and “Texting & Driving Prevention”.

Phone Set-Up Instructions

1. Download the Teknekk app on the parent’s Android phone

2. Download the Teknekk app on the child device you want to supervise

3. Follow the set-up instructions for parent and child phones.

4. Access the Teknekk Parental Remote-Control panel (www.tek-nekk.com) to supervise and control your child’s device.

FAQ

Do I need to install Teknekk on the parent's device? The app must be set-up on both the parent's and child's phones, however the child's phone is controlled by the Parental Remote-Control Website at www.tek-nekk.com, from any device. The accessibility and API feature allows parents to set-up and control their children’s phones.

The child’s phone must be an Android. The Teknekk app can only be downloaded on the parent’s Android phone. Nevertheless, the child’s phone can be managed by accessing the Parental Remote-Control Website from any device or location.

· TekNekk may share these data types with third parties:

Data Collected

· Name of parents and children for account management

· E-mail address of the parent for account management

· Phone number of the parents or guardians for account management

· Child app usage information for reporting and phone parental management.

· Cancelation of the parent and child accounts deletes all data from the servers.

· TekNekk complies with European Data Safety Standards

· Data is transferred over a secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection

· Data is encrypted in transit
