Description

Stroke or Brain attack is a preventable leading cause of sudden death and it is one most common cause of chronic disability. There is FDA approved highly indicated medicine (thrombolytic agents) available for treatment of stroke. But unfortunately only upto 4 to 5% of stroke patients manage to receive this wonderful medicine. One of the major hurdles being they (patients) don’t reach Hospital/Stroke centre within the golden period (window period) of symptom onset, which tragically increased mortality and morbidity.

Stroke is Preventable, Treatable and even Curable.... But we need a comprehensive team effort..

Keeping this in mind, distinguished stroke experts across India and abroad in collaboration with leading hospitals from India, Singapore,USA, Canada and others formed a comprehensive “Stroke Telecare” support group. The mobile “Stroke TeleCare” application compatible with mobile platform Android™ (Google, Mountain View, CA) and iOS (Apple, Cupertino, CA) will be immensely helpful in guiding management of acute stroke at a remote trained and certified stroke centre.

The App has been designed with enhanced microprocessor capacities making it possible for easy and fast image and video processing including linked videoconference.
