Description
This widget allows you to visually check the moon's set/median/set time/age for tonight (from 6PM today to 6AM tomorrow). The widget is useful for astrophotography to avoid the effect of moonshine (so you can stay sober).
The widget automatically updates the content on 6am every day. You can use the left/right arrows to move the date forward or backward.
HOW TO USE:
1.Place "Watchout Moon" widget to home screen
2.Run the app icon from application list. Set your location and altitude and UTC offset and exit the app. Widget will be updated.
3.Long-touch Widget and resize it you want.
NOTES:
- Summertime isnot supported; you need to change the UTC offset manually.
- Moon's orbit is for reference. Not reflected actual moon's altitude.
- The graphic of full moon/new moon can vary from actual moon.
- Only one widget can be placed to home screen.
- The time and orbit will not be accurate at high latitudes (above 60 degrees).
- I know the left/right arrows might be too small, but it is due to Android's limitation for placing buttons on widget.
