Description

Hot on the heels of the 100 Greatest Cycling Climbs app comes the new Hellingen app, the essential tool to help you track down Belgium’s famous climbs such as The Koppenberg, The Paterberg and the Mur de Huy. Complete with all the text and photographs from the book of the same name, and utilizing your phone’s GPS you will now be better equipped than ever to locate and tackle the fantastic ascents that pepper this cycling obsessed country.
Plus, when synced with a Strava Subscriber account* the app really comes alive. Once your ride history has been processed your home screen will proudly display your ‘Hellingen score’, and the bigger the number, the bigger your bragging rights! Strava Subscribers can quickly and simply check their efforts on each climb, compare times over the years and watch your total build as you keep ticking them off.
Exploring further you will see that via the interactive map you can locate and be instantly directed to the base of each climb and be taken to it’s factfile. In the factfile you will see the climb’s vital statistics together with comprehensive directions, a profile, a link to your previous efforts and the ability to view it on Strava. Alternatively you can scroll the list which can be sorted by difficulty, geographically, by ridden, or best of all, by which is nearest to your current location. So if you find yourself in Belgium, if you have your bike and you can spare the time you can head straight to the nearest climb on the list and bag it.

*Strava Subscriber account required for automatic sync. Manual climb check available otherwise.
