Villa Vauban

Description

The application is a multimedia educational tool for Villa Vauban, the art museum of the City of Luxembourg. The trilingual offer (French, German, English) is barrier-free thanks to two language levels. Its content is regularly supplemented and adapted to the exhibition program. Thus, each visitor will find the right format, whether small or large, on site or at home.

Villa Vauban is located in the middle of the municipal park, housed in a representative historic villa with a modern extension. The permanent exhibition in the new part of the building presents the finest works from the museum's collections, with an emphasis on Dutch painting of the "Golden Age" (17th century) and French landscape and history painting from 19th century. Paintings, sculptures and graphic works by European artists from the 17th to the 19th century complete the collection. The temporary exhibitions in the old building offer thematic diversity.
