Welcome to Say Hello—the app designed to bring back the joy of real human connection.

Say Hello is a social platform designed to help you meet people face-to-face, without the usual pressure, expectations, or anxiety that today’s social apps often bring. While technology has made it possible to connect with millions of people without ever meeting in person, it has also increased anxiety and the sense of isolation, creating a loneliness epidemic. Say Hello wasn’t built to replace modern apps, but to complement them by bringing back what they’ve lost—genuine human connections, without stress, judgment or agenda.

Here’s how the app works: Start by filling in some basic information and sharing your general interests. You can also indicate any special interests, like romance or business. Don’t worry, this isn’t a dating app, and we’re not using algorithms to predict matches. Answer as many questions as you wish from our personal questionnaire. Highlight the things that make you, YOU! Consider your favorite movie or the wildest thing you’ve ever done. Take your time and complete as many as you like.

With your setup complete, it’s time to say hello! When you come within about 30 yards of another active app user, both apps receive a notification. If you both accept, Say Hello will reveal your profiles, all that’s left is to simply greet each other—yep, just “Say Hello.” The app will generate a QR code to scan, marking the connection and pinning it to our virtual map. Next, the app will prompt you to take a selfie together, which is also attached. The pin and selfie will remain on the map forever, celebrating a genuine interaction.

The last step in a Say Hello connection comes after a little time has passed. We’ll send you both your personal survey answers, giving you a deeper insight into the person you met. If there’s a mutual romantic or business interest match, we’ll notify you—no complex algorithms involved, just your stated preferences for a romance match (gender and age) and a brief description for a business match. We will give you both the option to continue the conversation. If you both accept, Say Hello will provide you with a secure chat, so you can stay in touch without exchanging personal information until you're ready.

Most apps focus on likes and follows; Say Hello’s goal is simple: fill up the map with real connections one at a time. Each time you connect, take a selfie, or choose to continue a conversation with someone new, you earn points. These points can be converted into entries for our monthly national drawing.

Say Hello uses technology to eliminate barriers, allowing you to connect by leading with your personality. While many of you are excited about this, I am sure you see the problem: the world is big, really big, and random encounters can be just that—random. Our vision is to enable genuine human connections anytime, day or night, both random and on-demand. To make this happen, we created Hello Hangouts. Hello Hangouts are local businesses that share our belief in the beauty of real-world connections. With the rise of online shopping, local businesses have also been impacted. Our partnership help balance the scales by offering these businesses something unique that you can't find online—an opportunity to meet the human need for genuine connection in a friendly, welcoming venue. We’ve established an annual fee of $299 to ensure that no business, regardless of its size, is excluded.

Each business has the chance to inform the community about events and updates on the What’s Happening page. At less than $25 a month, some might argue we’re missing out on potential profits—and I wouldn’t disagree. However, our main goal isn’t to maximize profit; it’s to create as many accessible venues as possible, offering places where connections happen. The low cost of entry does both. Hangouts are about bringing people together where connections happen best.
