Description

The government has announced the implementation of the Sixth Pay Commission effective from 1 January 2016, which would hike the salaries and allowances for over 10 Lakh government employees and pensioners by at least 23.5 per cent. Salary as per 6th Pay will be paid regularly from 1st January 2020.

According to recommendations by West Bengal, the 6th pay commission should fix the minimum pay for government employees at Rs 17,000 per month.
