Description

Our key objective was the development of an alternative way for single users to find new partners while temporarily being incognito. We wanted to avoid just a photo match, but instead match up people by common interests and suggest that the first meeting be an activity instead of a blind date. It also encourages users to be dynamic by proposing activities - even for the same day. Using RecoDate is also a great way to find a suitable long-term partner!
 
We have designed a smooth approach to start using RecoDate: because we want you to trust the app, we allow you browse anonymously before subscribing! For this mode, the only info we request is age and gender to filter the best info for you.
  
Even if you do subscribe, you can still stay invisible until you start searching. You can search by proposing an activity through a targeted post. You can target a potential partner for a common activity in any of your interest categories, like sports, tours, cultural events, gastronomy, animals, pets and pet care, hobbies, etc.
But before you start searching for a partner, you must leave the anonymous mode and set your introduction properly in the profile as the foundation of the process. Therefore, your completed profile should contain info about 
• Username (visible on posts)
• Recent photos (visible on post and for chat partner)
• Date of birth (not visible, just in filter)
• Gender (not visible, just in filter)
• Bio (visible on posts, and for chat partner)
• Email (not visible at all) 
• Telephone number (not visible at all)
• Name (not visible at all)
The bio in the profile is the key opportunity to describe what is most important for a partner to know: 
• # of children
• Marital status
• Height/weight
• Smoker, non-smoker
• Domestic pets
• Hobbies, interests
• Work, career path
• Educational background
• Your most important values, your outlook, your world-view 
You can start proactively searching by sending a post. However, we made it possible that not everyone sees your post — only the targeted ones. Within a targeted post, you can set:
• Your post’s distance of visibility
• Time limit of your post’s visibility
• Preferred gender
• Preferred age range (18-99)
• Categories of activity/interest
• Tags
• Your spoken languages, so you ensure that others understand you
• If you want more people to meet (12 max) 
You may also stay passive (not visible to others at all), so you can keep reading others’ posts on the feed. Posts can be proposals from others in which you can filter
• Max distance of post issuer
• Preferred gender
• Preferred age range
• Category of the post activity
• Tags to fine-tune the topic
You can save your filter preferences and get notices if a post content matches your interests. A valuable feature is that you can set preferences to see only those posts written in your language (current options: English, German, and Hungarian). Great for travelers abroad!
After you choose an interesting post, you can check the profile of the writer — but only the photos and the bio. You can then send a private chat to the writer:
• You can confirm your interest
• Your chat message must be accepted by the post owner  
• Chats are only for the purpose of meetup details
• Very likely your chat message won’t be accepted by the post owner if your profile is incomplete
An alternative use of the app is allowing a multiple number of invitees: you can propose an activity group of up to 12 people. This will be visible on the post by a number indicating the maximum.

RecoDate is the first member of the RecoApps family, all of which are designed to help you target different aspects of life. Your profile information will be shared only within the RecoApps family as well as our host social media platform, Actiways.
