Description

Starmer is a free app that helps users discover social media accounts of people around them—currently supporting X (Twitter) with support for more platforms coming soon.

Picture this, whenever you come across an interesting person on social media and think “Wow, I think we can actually be friends”, the biggest huddle is that of distance. It’s almost impossible to be friends with someone who is 1000 miles away.

What if you could flip this?

First, discover social media accounts of people that are actually around you, then browse their accounts and finally decide if you’d like to connect with them!

How does it works?

1. Create an account on Starmer.
2. Connect your X (Twitter) to make it discoverable.
3. Browse through people around you.

Users will only be able to discover social accounts of other users who have a Starmer account, have connected their X (Twitter) account and are within the distance specified.

Account discoverability is powered via a gps-based system where the smallest distance that can be set is 5 kms while randomising the order to ensure user safety.
