The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), developed at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro in 2012, replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); universally agreed measurable objectives to address extreme poverty and hunger, prevent disease and expand primary education for girls and boys, among other development priorities.
Poverty alleviation, democratic governance, peacebuilding, climate change and disaster risk, and economic inequality are areas in which the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) works, providing support to governments to integrate the SDGs into their national development plans and policies.
In this context of the objectives of the end of poverty, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reduction of inequalities and alliances to achieve the objectives; The Autonomous Municipal Government of Sacaba (GAMS) and the United Nations Development Program signed a memorandum of understanding on February 8, 2018, regarding the program: "Strengthening the community economy, solidarity, inclusive and sustainable in the Municipality of SACABA ", with the objective of generating and promoting the promotion and development of a solidary economy in the municipalities of Tiquipaya and Sacaba, seeking to include segments of young people, women and the disabled.
With the achievement of this objective, 2 results are presented:
1.- To improve the joint planning between the public and private actors of different levels of government, through the prioritization of public and private investments.
2.- Improve the productive and commercial capacities of small farmers and micro enterprises in the municipality of Sacaba.
In this context of the objectives of the end of poverty, gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reduction of inequalities and alliances to achieve the objectives; the Autonomous Municipal Government of Sacaba (GAMS) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), have managed for the period 2018 the implementation of the program: "STRENGTHENING OF PRODUCTIVE AND COMMERCIAL CAPACITIES OF SMALL PRODUCERS (AGRICULTURAL, LIVESTOCK AND FISH FARMERS) ) IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TIQUIPAYA AND SACABA "whose general objective is to guide the insertion to local markets by producers' organizations, in the Municipalities of Tiquipaya and Sacaba, to improve their income from the strengthening of productive and commercial capacities; with the financing of the Ministry of Social Services and Cooperation of the Government of the Balearic Islands.
The objectives foreseen in the program are set out below:
I. Build capacities in business and commercial management, considering training based on required competencies.
II. Facilitate access to markets of productive associations, which include exchanges of commercial experiences promoting South-South collaboration.
III. Support in the monitoring and follow-up of productive enterprises.
IV. Systematize and disseminate the results achieved to local authorities and producer associations.
Seeking the fulfillment of strengthening, in the productive and commercial competences, linked to the business management of the productive associations, it is intended to promote the economic sustainability to the productive units, through the implementation of Design, development and implementation of a mobile application for dissemination and interaction of productive / gastronomic / tourist information of the municipality of Sacaba, which allows the adoption and application of technologies, which propitiate the strengthening of productivity in the sector of small and medium-sized local enterprises, taking into account the conditions of marginalization and the economic subsistence levels of the producers.
