Pasifika Heartbeat allows you to log your healthcare data to the cloud; provide basic first aid information and practices; create personalized medication reminders; contact emergency services or find doctors and specialists in your area; get information about disaster preparation, diseases, and health tips through short and informative articles tailored to the South Pacific region.

Key Features:

* Healthcare Data Logging
The healthcare logging feature allows users to log health records, lab results, appointments, medical ID, and healthy living progression data all in one app. The sections enable the user to log the diagnosis provided from doctor visits, attach lab report files, create doctor’s appointment reminders, create personal medical ID information, and log blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, sleep, and water goals in the respective sections.

*First Aid
Provides information and practices on conducting first aid to victims of heat stroke, burns, choking, bleeding, poisoning, allergies, etc.

*Pill Reminder
Create personalized notifications of taking medications at specific times with the pill reminder section. Allows the user to add different tags and colours to differentiate the type of medication to take, the quantity, and the schedule.

*Services
The services section dispenses emergency contacts, hotline numbers as well as allows the user to find specialists, doctors, or simply health care centres to their location of choice.

*Heath Tips
Houses informative articles targeted towards common heath issues which include vaccination, fish poisoning, hygiene, mental health, etc.

*Disease and Sickness
Informative articles on both communicable and non-communicable diseases existent in the South Pacific and steps that can be taken to safeguard one’s health from those deadly diseases.

*Disaster Preparation
From conducting first aid, collecting water, food importance to sanitation, the section provides information on combating the common challenges faced in times of natural disasters.

About Pasifika Heartbeat

Pasifika Heartbeat was created by the doctors of Rubina Medical Clinic and various medical students from Fiji School of Medicine to create an app with the South Pacific in mind. This allowed the app content to be filled with health challenges commonly faced locally as well as create a digital means of logging health information to enable backing up of valuable data to the cloud.

This app was developed by the Project Octave Team, funded, and established by an e-commerce platform Cheap Games Fiji. The Pasifika Heartbeat Project has received grants for the development of this project from Total Fiji Startupper of Year 2019 and The Fijian Government`s YES (Young Entrepreneurs Scheme). The projects continuous funding and the resources needed were offered by Cheap Games Fiji.
